Be poor, live more! That is my motto.

I came upon this blog entry quite by accident when I was on the Friends website looking up, ironically, information for my four year old son and his possible entry to Friends. I want him to go to Friends so he can get the ‘proper’ head start on his academic life. Thereby giving him a leg up on his future choices, whether they are collegiate or employment.

I used to coach you sister in ice hockey for the Stars and always liked you and knew you would go on to do something special. Looks like you are halfway there. good luck Nick.

In fact, I haven’t even arrived at Conn yet (much less acquired a real, paying job that requires actual effort) and I already understand your central idea about free time completely 😀

More seriously, I still think you’re right, that most of us spend most of our work time thinking of (dreaming of, wishing for, desiring) free time. On the other hand, what about people who genuinely love their jobs? Maybe I’m just misinterpreting what you’re trying to say? I think what you’re saying is that free time is what most people are ultimately working to achieve, as opposed to money or time? If that’s what you’re saying, you have a good point, and it probably applies to most people everywhere. It’s probably why most people aren’t political or ideological, because that’s too much like “work.”
