Connecticut College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country: 

The cross country team hosts their annual home meet at Harkness Memorial State Park, a beautiful location alongside the water and home of the Eolia Mansion. At the 2024 Conn College Invitational, the women had a strong showing, placing ninth out of 37 teams. Grace McDonough ‘26 led the way for the Camels, coming in 26th overall with a blazing time of 21:52.2 for a 6k. Abby Williams ‘27 came in 41st overall behind McDonough, powering through the finish line for a personal best time of 22:12.8. Alsacia Timmerman ‘26 (22:30.2), Abby Fernald ‘26 (22:31.5), and Kiera Tallas (career best – 22:32.2) rounded out the top-5 for Connecticut College. April Schilling ‘27 (personal best – 23:17.2) and Addie Fuller (23:22.3) were 6th and 7th for the Camels. 

On the men’s side, the Camels finished 17th out of 35 teams at the 2024 Conn College Invitational. All five of the top-5 finishers for Conn recorded personal-best 8k times, with Matt Scardigno ‘26 led the way with a 25th-place finish overall and a time of 24:51.0. Ellis Iurilli-Hough ‘27 (25:52.4), Anthony Belford ‘27 (26:07.1), Josh Barzilai ‘28 (26:41.6), and Sam Walker ‘25 (26:58.7) followed Scardigno to the finish line. Deem Quinn ‘26 (27:20.6) and Kevin Lieue ‘26 (28:17.4) rounded out the Camels’ top-7. After a successful home meet and strong results, both the men and women will return to action in Brunswick, Maine on November 2 for the NESCAC Championships.
