On Saturday, September 13, the Connecticut College Women’s Volleyball split a pair of non-conference matches against Plymouth State and Worcester State University. The Camels lost 3-1 against Plymouth State before coming back later in the afternoon to beat Worcester State 3-0. Against the Panthers, the Camels took the first set 25-18 led by 18 kills from Rae Wartelle ‘27 and 10 kills from Riley Lord ‘26 before dropping the next three sets 25-23, 25-21, and 25-20. First-year Aubrie Letourneau ‘29 paced the team with a team-high 31 assists and 13 digs to record her first career collegiate double-double. In the second match of the day, the Camels took down the Lancers in three straight sets 25-21, 25-21, and 26-24. Wartelle, Zoe Watts ‘26, and Lord led the Camels in kills with 10, 7 and 5 respectively. Letourneau led the Camels once again providing 31 assists. Both the first and third sets were close affairs, with the Camels and Lancers trading 5-0, 5-1, 6-2 runs before kills from Wartelle, Watts, and Lord sealed the win for the Camels.
