2/12

  • President Chapdelaine stopped by to wish us all a happy semester, and say hello!
  • We voted to grant Debate Union RSO status.
  • Chair of Sustainability Elaine Sandoval ‘27 has been putting up signage clarifying what can and cannot be recycled, so please follow it and note the guidelines, such as, not recycling anything with food residue on it.
  • Chair of Residential Affairs Morganne Young ‘28 gave us some ResLife updates: the form to stay over spring break is out now, please fill that out, even if you only need to stay on campus late or come back early. If you do not have the Housing Lottery Booklet, please reach out to Housing. Seniors will need to leave campus at 5 pm on Commencement, so please be prepared for that. Additionally, the rumor going around campus that the College will be taking away the Ridges is not true– the Ridges will stay online for the foreseeable future, and will only be reevaluated once the College has completed a new building.

2/19

  • We had two open forums: one by Dean Arcelus on the Blue Camel changes– please reference the article on the topic for highlights– and another by the Committee on Student Representation Reformation on the proposal for a new SGA system. Please keep an eye out for further open forums on the new SGA system, and feel free to reach out to myself, Theo Andres, or any SGA members with your feedback or questions.
  • Finance Committee updated us that they granted speciality funding for events by the Muslim Students Association. Additionally, allocations hearings are coming up in the spring, so please keep an eye out for those forms if you are on club leadership and want to continue receiving funding next year.
  • Chair of Academic Affairs Nic Sanfilippo ‘27 is looking for two students to serve on the Academic and Administrative Procedures Committee, at 10:25 a.m. every Thursday. Any student can serve on this committee, so please let them know if you are interested.
  • Veiled Vocalist, hosted by SAC, is happening February 28 at 8 p.m. in Cro 1962.
  • The transit video contest hosted by SGA is still open– you could win $50 in camel cash for submitting a short video of yourself using public transportation sustainably!
