- Father Laurence ‘Larry’ LaPointe, who served as Chaplain at Connecticut College from 1979 to 2012, and returned in 2023, has been placed on leave by the Diocese of Norwich regarding allegations of sexual abuse of a minor in the 1970s. In an email from President Chapdelaine, she stated that the allegations did not involve Connecticut College, and encouraged students, alumni, and other community members to reach out to Counseling Services and Campus Ministry for support.
- From March 26-28, the Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology’s triennial symposium will come to campus once more, this year, with the theme ‘All Too Human.’ This year’s keynote speaker is Katerina Cizek, a documentarian, author, producer, co-founder of the Co-Creation Studio at MIT Open Documentary Lab, and an Emmy and Peabody award-winner. Registration for the symposium is free for Connecticut College students, faculty, and staff, as well as New London-area residents.
- This spring break, students attended educational trips abroad to Ghana and Peru through the College.
- Reports have been circulating that the New London Fire Department made some changes to Cummings in order to keep the building in compliance with fire code, including removing Arts seniors from their third floor studio, and leaving them without a space.
- For the second annual ‘Chap Swap,’ President Chapdelaine switched places for the day with senior R.J. Casey, a neuroscience major and member of the Basketball team.
- The week before spring break began, Connecticut College Theatre performed Promenade, the 1960s vaudeville musical comedy, directed by Ken Prestininski.
