Both Men’s and Women’s Track and Field competed just down the road at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and posted some impressive times and school records. On the Men’s side they were headlined by Errol Apostolopoulos ‘27 who broke the school record in the long jump on Saturday jumping 6.93m and placing first at the meet. In the sprints we saw impressive performances in the 100m from Brian Gibson ‘26 who ran a big personal record of 11.18 and Colin Blades-Thomas ‘26 who also ran a personal record of 11.28. For the distance runners they showed out in the 1500m with some personal records including Emmitt Wilson ‘29 running 4:14.92, and Avery Selber’29 running 4:22.56. In the throws Brady Morvay ‘29 threw a Javelin personal record of 45.32m and Cam Bayusik ‘28 also had a personal record of 41.04m. For the Women It was also a record breaking day as the Women’s 4x400m relay record fell by just 0.05 seconds. The relay of Alexis Melvin ‘28, Kailin Fuller ‘27, Alina Newman ‘27, and Alexa Estes ‘26 ran 3:58.26 to break the school record. In the sprints, standout Blessing Kieh ‘28 ran 11:99 in the 100m which puts her 11th currently in Division III this season and on the long distance end of things Grace McDonough ‘26 ran 16:46.75 in the 5000m which put her 5th in Division III this season.
